Making good food choices is difficult for a variety of reasons. As Americans, we’re often so far removed from the sources of our food that we lose sight (literally and figuratively) of the things about our food that matter.
It matters that your food provides fuel for your body and mind in the form of nutrition. Eating food should benefit your body and make you feel good….does your food do that?
It matters that your food is produced sustainably, because with six billion mouths to feed on this planet, we need to be replenishing our resources, not destroying them….
FOOD SHOULD NOT HARM!
Welcome to the collaborative works of food ethics and nutrition in our community. Tallahassee has a lot of great resources available for making good food choices. From community gardens who need volunteers to campus activists and even a non-profit grocery store.
Check out our Foodie Event Calendar, where we’ll post all the delicious events which benefit food ethics and related wellness events in our community….
